Tsukiji Sushi Say Honten (Tokyo)

My husband took the kids to this restaurant on his own (brave man!) while I went to a hen's party (the reason we were in Tokyo was for a wedding) in the Tsukiji Fish Market area in Tokyo (a tourist spot in itself!)

We had walked past a couple of sushi restaurants that looked "safe" in that they looked like they made simple sushi dishes (and we thought they would be able to do a salmon sushi, free from any sesame or white fish), but he had to ask around at a few restaurants in the area (using the allergy card that we had brought along with translations of the fact that the boys have allergies and the foods that they are allergic to). He reports that Tsukiji Sushi Say Honten were really good with allergies; they sat at the bar and watched the (non-English speaking) chef prepare their meals in front of them. They don't normally make sushi salmon in Japan (even though it is common in Australia!) - I am guessing salmon is normally served just as sashimi, but the service and willingness to accommodate our kids' allergies was amazing.
Note that this restaurant is up a flight of stairs, so the entrance might be a bit tricky to find.
